Google Classroom: Google SSO

How to Use the Google Single Sign-On Integration

You probably hear complaints from your students about forgotten passwords on a weekly (if not daily) basis. With Single Sign-On, your students can save time and save you the hassle of dealing with forgotten passwords.

What Is the Google Single Sign-On Integration?

Single Sign-On (SSO) allows teachers and students to use their Google accounts to access the iCEV platform.

This works by taking your initial login to Google, encrypting it for security, and then using the token to access the iCEV platform without the need for a separate username and password.

An SSO integration makes it easier for you and your students because there is one less password to remember, resulting in fewer login issues!

Who Can Use Google SSO?

Any iCEV customer can use the “Sign In With Google” option for themselves or their students.

How Do I Use the Google SSO Integration?

There is no technical setup required to connect your Google account with your iCEV account for SSO.

To use the SSO integration, you must have the same email address associated with both your Google and iCEV accounts. If that’s not the case for you, you will not be able to use the Google SSO option.

Once you’re logged in to Google you can use the Sign In With Google button on the iCEV Login screen to access your iCEV teacher account:

For your students to use Google SSO, they will need to confirm their iCEV account uses the same email address as their school Google account.
