Industry credentials are tools that can be used to improve state and local accountability, strengthen the connections between secondary and post-secondary education and prepare students to enter the workforce with essential career readiness skills. Industry certifications are one of the required performance measures of the South Carolina Perkins V State Plan for the federal Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act.
